Carlsberg 0.0 Hockey League — Winter Break. An intense first chapter before an explosive final sprint

After three months of intense competition, the Carlsberg 0.0 Hockey League enters its winter break — a crucial moment for clubs to recharge and prepare for the decisive second half of the season. Throughout this first phase, Kick Up has been fully committed to its mission: promoting the league, creating dynamic content, and bringing the stories of Belgian hockey to life.

On the women’s side, the favourites from La Gantoise are leading the standings, closely followed by the Dragons. Just behind them, a compact group including Antwerp, the Waterloo Ducks and Braxgata keeps the race for the Play-Off spots wide open. Every point will matter when the league resumes.

In the men’s competition, the situation is even more intense. Six clubs have clearly emerged, with only six points separating first-place La Gantoise from sixth-place Léopold. With six teams fighting for just four Play-Off spots, qualification is expected to go down to the very last matchday of the regular season.

The spectacle on the field has been remarkable so far, with an average of 5.68 goals per match in the men’s league and 4.17 goals per match in the women’s league. High-paced hockey, attacking flair and constant momentum have made this first part of the season particularly exciting.

Kick Up has once again been active on all fronts to highlight the competition as much as possible — managing social media, producing interviews, designing promotional visuals, and creating newsletters and digital content to support the league’s visibility and engagement.

The championship will resume on 8 March, kicking off the spring run towards the Play-Offs — a decisive and thrilling chapter that promises great hockey ahead.
